Default Flushed coolant = four amigos

Yesterday I drained the coolant in my 04 DII, refilled with Prestone, and now I have the 3 amigos and the emergency brake light. I let it dry out overnight, no change.

Before I take it to the shop, any suggestions on what I might have screwed up? I know the wheel speed sensor connector is under the overflow tank, should I open that up and blast it with contact cleaner?

I already checked the brake fluid reservoir, full to max, float seems to work, no change when you unplug the sensor.

Thanks for any suggestions!

yes. start there. it does not take much to throw these sensors off. blow it out with compressed air, too. Antifreeze does not just evaporate easily. I had antifreeze in O2 sensor plug and it threw codes.

Did you spill coolant when filling the reservoir?

I'm assuming the answer is no, but do you have the ability to read ABS codes? That would definitely help.

I agree. I do not currently have this capability, and fear that if I did it would exceed my ability to fix it anyone.

If you need to rent the Nanocom to read them, mine's available for rent up in the Sticky section.

An update: it was the SVS switch, but the brake master cylinder was rusted out and leaking as well. All replaced, buttoned up, bypassed, and bled and it’s braking better than ever, with the amigos banished back from whence they came.
