fog lights?
#2
Are you talking factory fog lights or just basic aftermarket lights? Aftermarket lights are pretty easy to wire up. Just mount the lights under the front bumper and run a few wires. If you're looking for factory fog lights you'll probably have to buy a trim piece for below the bumper that is designed for fog lights.
I actually just installed a small set of aftermarket fog lights on my D1 using the factory fog light switch. Mounted on the lower bar of my brush bar where they are low enough to be effective yet protected by the bar.

So is it possible to use the factory installed 'rear' fog light switch(It came with my D1. It doesn't have the factory front fog light switch ) to run the wiring of a 3 pcs. aftermarket fog lights(aprox. 300 watts with a relay.)? I try not to use the aftermarket switch that came along with the fog lights if it is possible.

what I meant is, I have a rear fog light switch that is actually working. I was thinking of just trying to share the wiring of it and just use it to turn all the lights. (rear fog light and front fog lights(using relay of course) at the same time.). I just wanted to know if that is possible or would it burnt out the switch?
Thanks though.. let me know how your install turns out.

If you use a relay, there's no reason that u would hurt the switch.. A relay is meant to handle a larger load than the switch can handle. They also work well because you can run very small gauge wire from the switch, potentially saving a lot of money on heavy gauge wire.
I have 260 watts on my front bumper running off of my stock switch, with a relay.

This is a good idea with using the same switch and a relay. What is the procedure for getting to the switch wiring? Do you pull out the switch or get to the wiring harness below?
