Default Rear fog lights as brake lights

Had a problem last week with my brake lights, its been resolved. However it gave me a chance to look at my rear fog lights. I would like to wire them into my brake system. Hit the brake pedal and all those lights light up.

I understand engines but not electronics. I assume bigger fuses and wires. Anyone done this or thought about it?

Use the current fuse and wires and just wire you brake lights into the current fog light, adding in a 2 element socket and I would think you would be fine.

You will be fine as Mike advised. You will need to use the original housing, by switching out the bottom contact with the double. Just make sure you match the bulb to the socket and use shrink tube to protect the wires. A bit of alignment of the bulb to the bottom of the new contact might be needed.

I did that to a civic of mine 20 years ago...."wanna race me light"....indicator within my signal lights....(LA street racing days)....LOL.
