When i turn on my factory fog lights in the air dam, the fuse blows and the tail light's and dash lights go off too. are they all on the same fuse or what. 98 discovery. anyone else have this prob and know what to do.

This is A common issue. Pop the bonnet and disconnect both front fog light connectors. They are located right behind the headlights. Then replace the fuse and turn fogs on. If fuse does not blow, connect one fog,then the other. This will tell you which fog lamp is shorted. Remove the suspect fog lamp assembly from the vehicle and disassemble to find the cause.

sorry guys, that didn't work, when i tested it like that it still poped the fuse (without both fogs pluged in) now what to try?

You have A 98 NAS Disco I that blows (what # ) fuse when the fog lights are turned on.

 

i will check what # fuse, it is under the hood, the one for the tail lights and inst. lights.
