Default Forum Hijack: Can't get any opinions on LR4

Sorry to Hijack what is probably the most popular forum on LandRoverForums.com, but I am getting no activity on my post on the LR4 Forum.

So, if any of you have any opinions/knowledge on LR4's, could you please follow this link https://landroverforums.com/forum/lr...-future-81109/ and give me your opinions

I know that on an LR4 they finally wised up and moved the TCM to a much safer location!!!! On the LR3 that TCM location is a huge joke and it was poorly executed for an off road vehicle that is designed to go off road and possibly encounter mud & water.

Basically an LR4 is nothing more than an improved LR3. It has bigger brakes, different dash material, relocated TCM, and of coarse more modern refinements. I prefer the Jag 4.4L to the newer power plants myself though.

I like LR4's, but for me I like the LR3's more.

The 4.4L V8 is plenty peppy enough vs say a 4.6L 215 based V8. I can only imagine the 5.0L V8 or a 4.2L Supercharged V8.

The difference in the newer LR product to the stuff I daily drive is shocking to me. My 4.2V8 Classic makes great noise but very little in the way of forward motion and it has way more pep than my built D2 with the 4.6.

..both of the above feel civilized compared to my 109 with the 200tdi. I get that thing up to 60mph and you feel very "involved" as the driver.

I recently swapped my 2009 RRS for a 2016 D4. Admittedly it's a diesel, 3.0 TDV6 but it is an excellent top spec vehicle. It is a far larger interior to the RRS and has all the latest 'Noddy' electronic toys one would expect from a new top spec truck. I have only done 3K miles o date with no issues.
