Found this tiny ring in my oil pan
I'm doing an oil pump and timing chain. Found this tiny ring inside the oil pan when I cleaned it out. The penny is there for size reference and was NOT in the pan. Where is the ring from do y'all think?

apparently they are small enough to fit through he oil passages!
I need to replace the oil pan gasket and I know I'll find one of those spacers that I dropped down there from last May's project. I need it back. Good to know they get down there more often than not.
