The Discovery 1 is 178.7 inches long and 70.6 inches wide and the Discovery 2 is 185.2 inches long and 74.4 inches wide. Factor in the 720 changes and modifications made to the Discovery 2 I would highly doubt that the Discovery 1 chassis would be compatible nor safe.

 

Radius arms different, panhard rod different, rear watts/3rd link different, trailing arms different, rear shocks different, rear bumper different, a ton of things are different that wouldn't allow it.
