front brake rotors: turn or replace: $30 rotors OK?
Can the front rotors on my 2003 D2 be turned, or must they be replaced? If replacing, anyone used the $30 "Pronto" rotors from Parts Geek?

While they "can" be machined, you are better off with new quality parts. Truck weighs right at 5,000 pounds. You have owned several, so you know that brakes are not the greatest feature of the Rover. Anything that might increase stopping distance is not good when you are driving a tank.
I just replaced my front rotors, calipers and pads for 150 bucks. My local brake place was quoting me 75 dollars to turn my rotors and replace pads. I'm happier have new, rust free parts.

I just checked out Rock Auto, they had Pronto, Centric and Bendix brand rotors. All ranging from $30-35 each. Also another Bendix for $55. Which one did you go with? How are they working for you?

I always feel it is a gamble going with something Chinese made. Sometimes it works out great, other times it is money wasted.
If in doubt get the OEM stuff - British Parts of Utah has them
Land Range Rover Discovery Genuine OEM Factory Brake Rotor
I got R1 Concepts ELine rotors (thru eBay). They are currently selling for $136 shipped for 4. They are double disc ground and plated for rust protection. I don't know if other $30 rotors are. Search for R138081
I did a google search for R1 concepts and they get good reviews on other forums. I still need to install them.
