So far, I'm diggin' 4x4 specialist engineering, and britpart #DA5682. Terra firma is too close to the grill. Not much protection front a frontal assault. I tell ya, Subaru drivers suck

You won't regret it. Good for sweeping kangaroos, deer, and Subarus out of the way. An added bonus is that there is room for gallons of antifreeze and oil just behind the brush guards. I've driven off that way unknowingly and they all made it home safe.

After careful consideration....I'm nabbing a "Casey Custom" front bumper. Why??? It looks cool, less weight, and it's made in Oregon !!! Can't wait till next week. I'll post some pics.

Default My recent experience with Front / Rear bumpers

I just purchased and installed rear Terra Firma bumper and front ARB bumper.
Terra Firma bumper - Nice fit and I like how it looks on truck. Packing material sub standard. Bumper had some scratches and dings on it when unpacked. No hardware shipped with bumper, mechanic felt the second set of holes should be used and didn't feel comfortable using it for towing until additional bolts could be installed.
ARB Front Bumper - Superior packing material. No scratches on shipped product. Additional hardware provided. great fit, finish and looks with installed winch.

The TF Front Bumper does have a lower profile, but it'll certainly hold up better vs the OEM joke of a bumper. I went with it vs an ARB because I wanted the best approach angle possible. The ARB does NOT have a very good approach angle and that's why I didn't go with it on my Kalahari.
