since your bumper is cracked, it may be cracked from the rub, or maybe it got hit in the past. If it got hit, it may be pushed back a touch which is why you have the rub. Sooooo...maybe you just need a new crush can(s) or adjust you bumper a bit forward.

Guessing the rubbing may have cracked it. Here's what the PO did to my truck. Despite looking like it was bitten off by a wild animal, or torn off by the tire itself, there are cut marks from a saw.

Important to note that different tire manufacturers will yield different results when it comes to rubbing. Mine are Goodyear Wrangler 265/65-18s. Also important to note that I'm powdercoating my wheels so what you see in these pics are some 255/65-16 General Grabbers and naturally there's no interference.

You could file the trim and make it look alot better in a couple minutes.

I suppose I should but honestly it's pretty hard to notice so I never bothered. I'll add it to the list. As pointed out earlier, the truck still rubs at full lock so obviously this alone won't fix the problem. The pass side isn't "modified" in the same way but there don't appear to be any abrasions on that corner.

Sorry I did not post up sooner. If you look at how the bumper mounts to the crush cans, there are four studs on the bumper that go through holes in the crush cans, about 1" long. You can probably space the bumper out 1/2" with no problem. More than that and you could use coupling nuts. Factory look with minimal changes.

I trimmed the corner of the bottom plastic insert in an angle, I also used a heat gun to ‘thermoform’ the wheel well protector deeper towards the bumper and problem solved! I must also mention that I tried using spacers but only made the rubber worse, I also increased my turn radius by adding washers to the steering stop bolts but it wasn’t necessary either. Thank you all for your advice. Be safe
