Front Drive Shaft

Front Drive Shaft
When I went to grease my drive shaft I found that the U-Joint closer to the front axle had worn through this piece and is sticking out. I have been looking online but can't find it. Does anyone know what this is called or where I can find it? Do I need a new drive shaft?

The piece which you circled in the pic is known as the double cardon joint.
I believe all you need is to replace the cups and bearings for the universal joints:
Land Range Rover Classic Discovery Defender Universal Joint
There are lots of previous threads about the different manufacturer u-joints which are preferred by posters.
Alternatively, you can chose to replace the entire front driveshaft. This is what I used:
Land Rover Discovery 2 II Heavy Duty Front Driveshaft Drive Shaft Propeller TVB000110 TVB000320
There are youtube videos which shows you the different ways for replacing U-joints.
In the meantime, do NOT drive your Disco. A broken front driveshaft will more than likely pop a hole into your transmission when driven.... which will lead to mucho bucks to replace the entire transmission.
Good luck!

The part that's damaged (aside from the u-joints) is called a center yoke, or 'H' yoke. You would only be able to get one at a driveline shop. Or someone breaking Land Rovers.
If I were in your position I'd just go ahead and get a Tom Woods or Great Basin Rovers HD front propshaft.
