on the stock drive shaft-
the zerk (fitting) on the shaft portion doesn't have enough clearance with the cat at articulation.....so it hits. the solution is a allen head grease cap. remove it and put fitting in, grease it and swap back to the cap.

 

also no luck on centering ball stamp.

8 new nylock nuts
Loosen, drop old, install new with new nuts.....vroom vrooom

 

Thanks Dusty for the illustration. I actually have a zerk fitting in that #5 spot. I thought it was just to grease the slip joint... is that the fitting to grease the centering ball?

This is the drive shaft that I have, and it looks like there is a zerk there... please correct me if i'm wrong

 

that is the zerk to grease the slip joint.
the centering ball zerk is hardly visible without dropping that end of the shaft, so you can articulate it
