Too bad you have a D2. I just found a guy parting out a 96. I got a headliner with all of the goodies attached, shift tape good dimming mirror, and panels for the rear light access. All for $70.

Finally!!!! Installed the actuator unit today and my power lock is working once again.
If it wasnt for the extended wait and wrong part being ship the job would have been done weeks ago.
At least car canibal worked with me to get the problem resolved, which we did.
Don't think I will do business with them again though due to the long time frame.

Regards,
Nick

Nice that itworks again!!! Isn't it?

So the real question is can you remove and install the actuator in 20 minutes? LOL
I 'am now pretty good at it.

Nick

Glad to hear that you got it fixed. Do you have a procedure to do this I have a drivers door that I need to replace and I heard that it was labor intensive. Any insight to this would be appreciated. thanks

It's fairly easy, you need to remove the inner door panel, undo the bolts holding the window frame to the door at the bottom inside, and the one in the inside hinge (I used a torx driver in a vise grip to get it to fit) and outside. There is one 13mm bolt in the front. Then remove the triangular plastic cover opposite the mirror (pull the peg out from the top or you'll break a clip), undo the plug going to the mirror, then lift the frame out and put it aside. (oh, lower the window about an inch before removing it so when you put it back in you can align things). Then it's just a matter of unclipping the various actuation rods and doing the replacement. It's a bit frustrating and there are some small parts that can break fairly easily though. If you have someone nearby who's done it before you may want to ask for some help/supervision since you'll probably be doing this again sometime.
