Front Driveshaft
I know this topic as been discussed a lot. Tried to search but I got mixed results.
I am wanting to get a new front shaft, dont really want to rebuild the factory one. I've heard that Tom's shaft vibrate and many have failed. What is a good driveshaft for about 300-350 dollars? This is the very first thing I will be doing to my ride once I get a hold of it. The truck might might see a lift down the road..

Why don't you just have a driveline shop re-build the one currently on the truck? It is much cheaper, $200-250ish. It's not that the factory driveshaft is bad, it just cannot be re-greased in the factory format. Once it is greaseable, you are fine.
You can then use the money you saved for the new headgaskets you will need eventually!

just rebuild it yourself, if I was able to do it and I've never worked on cars, I'm sure you can do it. Just be patient and follow a good write up. Here's the one I used.

If you're thinking of doing it yourself, read this thread:

The instructions linked to in post 7 are good, but leave out some key information.
The thread I linked references two sets of instructions plus provides some other important pointers.
