Usually when this happens, the leather is to dry to be restitched and most people have new leather installed.
When done start treating your seats with Lexol and saddle soap if you want them to last.

Just like Mike said, condition your leather no less than every 6 months, front and back seat. If you live inhot dry climates you will want to do it more often.
You can get the conditioner from any store, Target for example.
