Default Front Washer Pump

My front windshield washer pump is not working. Back pump works, the front light washers works. When I pull the windshield washer stalk, the light washer pump works and the windshield washers go but no sound from the washer pump.

Before I replace the pump, I'm wondering if there is a relay that I should check before I change the pump?

It won't be a relay, remove and clean out your bottle, all lines and the nozzles to get rid of a build up of hard water crap.

Thanks Mike. I figured that there is nothing wrong with the lines because the pump is not actually making any noise.

Your front windshield sprayer pump will wear out and die a lot sooner than the others. It gets used a lot more. Your headlights sprayers on work every third time you spray the windshield and only if you have the headlights on. And how often do you really use the rear sprayer? I use mine probably twice a month.

I just read the RAVE on this procedure as I have same issue but none of my pumps work... it said remove front bumper... is this really necessary? I unplugged my line from engine bay to hood sprayers and tried to blow through it and could not.. maybe its too much pressure to get past the one way valve and not a good test? I can suck up from the tank but tastes bad.. lol

I tried fuse and wipers and even rear wipers and all work great.. just no sprayer.. I removed the drivers side light and could see the plug and I look it off and on a few times to see if it was a little corroded but still did not work... is it unusual to have all 3 of the pumps non working?

( check valve was bad on on underhood hoses so ordered new hose kit there... however

I do it through the fog light. I just remove the driver side fog lamp and I can get to the pumps through there (at least the one on that side). Then I go from between under the car and the hood to access the others. It is really tight if you leave the bumper on, but it can be done. I have thin hands, so that also helps. If you have big hands, you pretty much have to remove the bumper.

I Haven't found a bad pump yet. I normally find the problem with the hose, a connection for a hose (like an elbow or T), or the sprayer. The hood sprayers seem to get caked up and get brittle a lot sooner than the others.
