RE: Front Wheel Bearing....
Here is what you need, you will need two.

I had the wheel bearings on my '97 done last year, I bought two of these kits becuase you should always do things like this in pairs.
Parts, $120, labor, $60 at the local muffler shop.
I dropped my truck off the night before with the parts in the passenger seat and picked it up the next afternoon.

Yes a muffler shop. The #1 mis conception about Land Rovers is that you have to go to the dealer for repairs. WRONG!! A car is a car is a car is a car. Unless it is dealer specific any repair shop can do the work.
The wheel bearings on DI's are VERY easy to replace. Bills out at about1 hour labor rate per side.
This guy at the muffler shop that I use does alot of work for me. I trust him, he lets me buy my own parts and I let him take his time. It took him 6 hours to do my wheel bearings.
He put my truck on the far hoist and worked on it between other customers.
My point is, find a local shop that can do mechanincal work and treat them well and use them for almost everything and it will pay off down the road.

The Disco II comes with a sealed assembly, you can't just replace the bearings. It's about $300 for the part but a fairly simple swap out. Pull the wheel and caliper and swap the hub assembly out. About two hours if you're taking your time. The only labor cost is back and forth to the refrigerator for a beer.
