Yep. You are super duper hard on yourself. Never heard of anything remotely close to being on-par with your dilemmas. I don't even think it's your motors that are "cursed," but YOU. Haha

Cars and trucks are going the wrong direction.
One of these days I'll get bold and import an ex MOD defender for a few thousand pounds sterling, leave it green, put UN vinyl on the side, drive it up and down the highway (at 45 miles per hour) to excite the crazies, and probably be put on a watch list.

Ain't it true?! I need a new vehicle. The problem is that I can't find one that I like and that I think will last as long as the Rover... Except another Rover. And the new ones?... Pass...

Get an LR3 with the 4.4 jaguar motor. I'm sold. Still love my D2, but the LR3 is in a different Galaxy.
You can actually get underneath it and do work without looking like you passed a grease laden birthing canal.

Ok... so getting into the job right now - MAN!! that bolt is on there, like not gonna move on there. Any suggestions? I am using a 42" pry bar and it is bending like it'll snap. Moved on to the impact gun & PB Blaster. Nothing... heat is next and go at it with the impact gun again.
Thoughts? I am not sure what else to do... need to get it off sooooo looking for ppl that have struggled with this similar issue. Thx for any pointers / solutions
Cheers!!

There aren't very many more ways to remove a nut so maybe find someone with some *** to break the nut loose! Get a bigger cheater bar; an 8-footer should do it LOL. Right after you heat it up.
You would need a really heavy impact and high air pressure to do more than a 4-foot extension on a breaker bar. The impact will do more if you have the chisel bar and hammer the nut counter clockwise. This method applies more leverage and pulsation than a fitted socket. I know a tractor mechanic that uses the impact bars for EVERYTHING.i watched him change my ball joints on one wheel in 10 minutes with nothing but his impact.
