front wheel hubs next; tips?
My front passenger wheel hub is bad so I will be replacing both front hubs very soon. Rovers North has 2 proline wheel hubs for $600 and that includes 2 new ABS sensors! Anyways I found a couple videos on youtube on replacing the hubs on a Disco 2 and it looks like an easy job, perhaps easier than say the power steering job I did last weekend. As always Im open to any tips your guys may have for me.
- Is there anything unique about doing this job?
- Will I need to use special tools or replace any other parts when I remove the old hubs?
-Should the hardware that holds the hub in place be replaced or would it be alright to resue old hardware with the new hubs?
-Will I have to reset or program any on board computers once the hubs and sensors are replaced?
-Will changing the hubs effect my steering alignment?
- IS it as easy as it looks to do this job at home with basic tools?
Thanks much
