Default Frozen Cd Player

I have an Ipod interface connected to the back of my head unit (instead of the 6 disc changer) and just recently the unit is frozen when I go to the cd player mode. The Ipod still charges but does not play and the radio and tape player still work fine. I really don't want to pull the head out again but am weary of shutting off the power to the thing because of the anti theft device (I didn't get a code when I bought the truck). Is there any way to reset the player or do you guys have any other suggestions. From what I have read in previous posts, there isn't much info out there about the interfaces and it seems most don't know much about it, thanks for your help.

First, why in the hell do you listen to a ipod? They are the devils work againts good music. MP3's suck!
If you have a aftermarket stereo you do not have a security code.

First off I got an Ipod so I could have all of my music in one place and not have to pull over everytime I want to change cds. I prefer records but still buy cds! Second it seems as though no one has any answers to my question so I thought I would post my results for future searches. I did accidently set the alarm code on my cd player but that was a quick fix, I just called the dealership with the last 8 digits of my vin and they gave me the code over the phone. Once I fixed that I pulled the wires from the back of the head unit and that reset the cd mode (the interface wires and the bottom set of the largest bunch of wires). It took about ten minutes and I also got to take the cds out of the disc changer which I forgot to do when I was installing the thing. BTW Spike555 thanks for your input and music format "views"!!!!

All is good now. I was stressed for a day thinking I was going to have to pay for an hours work at the dealership to get the alarm reset but they were actually very helpfull and did it over the phone. Just another rover quirk I guess.

Take a sharpie and write the radio code on the case while you are in there. If you are done, write it on a card and put it in with your owners manual. Make sure not to lose it....

I wrote it down, but figured if I put it on the radio it would make the security feature worthless. (Even though no one would want a factory rover stereo anyways) Thanks for the input!
