There a socket attachment at most car places that will take them off the front driver one is hard to reach. I used a 3/8 socket with the attachment and a short extension.

If you are positive you won't need the old o2 sensor you can just grab some pliers and show it who's boss.

Most important thing - Do it after the truck is hot, and exhaust is hot. Usually come out like butter. Yes, be careful not to burn yourself.

Don't try to simply unscrew the sensor.
You need to unscrew it till it binds.
Then do the other direction then you will unscrew a bit more
until it binds.
Then back in.
That way you will not strip the threads in the pipe.

And yes.
PB blaster
WD40

Put all this on and let it soak.
And blast it on when removing.

Last thing --

All that will work is VICE GRIPS.

Channel Locks - NO.

OR - Hack saw the thing off until just the bolt part is left.
Then use a socket.

(put a rag over your nose and mouth)
Still - in and out in and out to get it off.
