Hoping someone would have some insight or maybe a similar situation. Our 01' Disco II has been sitting for a few months since we can't seem to figure out the issue. We were driving one day and it acted like it ran out of gas, died and would not start. We replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay. It will now start and drive around the neighborhood but cuts out again at about 1-2 minutes at idle.

What codes is your disco throwing?

 

A bad CKPS (crank position sensor) could act like that.

We will check out the CKPS. @matt3502 It is throwing these codes, P1230, P1668, P1884, P0734. Any help is appreciated.

Bush Baby- your codes decoded:
1230- Fuel pump relay
1668- Anti-theft circuit open
0734- 4th gear ratio implausible
1884- Engine friction invalid
So obviously the first code is the one that seems linked to your issue. The last two I have never dealt with, or hear of. WTF is engine friction anyway?

Yes they are from the RAVE

 

Well that is strange. Never seen many of those. Sounds like a low voltage issue which causes all kinds of weird codes to pop up.
