Mine has the rubber block as well. I looked in Microcat, all they list is a spring. I looked at a couple of part pictures online and they only showed a spring as well. Hmm wonder if one ordered the "spring" they would actually get the rubber block. Maybe that's one of the things that changed from the early to the late DII's?

My fuel door looks like the last picture you posted, it has the tab for the rubber block, but no block. I have an 04, same as yours.

I looked at the parts diagrams on a few sites but couldn't find it, I guess I'll go over to the dealer and ask them and report back.

Jafir, where did you come up with the Russian (at least I think that's the language all the part numbers link to, maybe not) parts site?

The number for the rubber bumper is good though. (wonder when the change from the spring to the bumper occurred) I found it at this site.
Land Rover Parts(click here)

I'm sure the shipping will be more than the part.

I'd pull this part off a junker... or a parked one. Muahaha! (kidding)
Nice find, Jafir!

Looks like it was probably added sometime around 03?

There is a tsb so older cars may have it too:

You're good, I had to go dig out my old TSB folder, sure enough, there that one was. I'd completely forgotten seeing that. (or more likely I just gave it a passing look before putting it in my folder since I hadn't run into that particular problem) Guess I should actually review the stuff in that folder now.
