Default Fuel Gauge wont go above red

Hello everyone, new to the Disco 2 world. Picked up a 2003 a few weeks ago, it has an issue where the fuel gauge wont display the proper amount of fuel. I got a P0463 code : "Fuel level Sensor A circuit High" I went ahead and swapped the whole fuel pump assembly "Unit" with one that worked from a Donor Disco 2 (Same year) but i still have the same issue where the gauge wont go up passed the red line no matter how much fuel is in the tank. The wire to the connector looks fine. Is there anything else I can look for? Fuse or something?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I installed the questionable fuel pump assembly into the donor car and the gauge worked just fine. So its something else in the car, but im not sure what else to look for.

Did you clear the code? The gauge might still read bad if the code is present, but that seems odd to me.

I’m not the expert but I think my next step would be to start ringing out wiring, maybe a poor ground or corroded connector somewhere?
