I'm thinking of pricing something like this. Let me know if you guys think it's too much, too little, or just right:

A fully rebuilt set of injectors for $110. If you send me your old injectors I'll refund $50, bringing the total price to $60 shipped to your door.

The rebuild kit cost $25 and shipping will cost a few bucks more, so I'm only making around $30per deal. Does that sound like fair pricing?
Thanks jared.

Yes to me that price seems fair for both you and the customer. If it were me I would try that price for forum members and maybe $10 or $15 more for ebay or other places to offset for the occasional problem customer.

The schematic for the DIY pulse timer looks pretty simple but, seeing that it took me over an hour just to solder the two tiny buttons on a remote key fob circuit board I think I would be better off just buying an assembled unit. If someone offered a kit with the pcb it probably wouldn't be so bad.

So, I guess with just a magnetic coil inside the injector it doesn't hurt to completely submerge like that?

I'll probably go with the same setup as yours and buy the rebuild kits, since my wife wants an ultrasonic cleaner anyway, we could get more use out of it.

Did you also buy a fuel pressure test gauge kit from HF? I'm still trying to find one with the right adapter for our schrader valve without paying $150 to $200 for something that won't get used alot. I don't mind spending for good tools but, I don't need one of the expensive snap-on kits with 50 adaptors for vehicles I don't have.

OTC makes a great product for cleaning that way and it will run you $140, about what I paid for the ultrasonic cleaner and pulse timer together. OTC 7448A Fuel Injector Canister-Type Cleaner
The first set of injectors I plan to clean are out of my Yamaha 150 HP 2-stroke outboard so hooking cleaner up to the rail is a bad idea. The last thing you want to pump through the bottom end of a running 2-stroke is a powerful cleaner!

I'm going to check them out and see if there are any signs of bad spray patterns. If I find an issue and the straight cleaner blasting through the injector returns the spray pattern to like new I'll leave it at that. If not, I'll pick up an ultrasonic cleaner.

I've never considered an ultrasonic cleaner, how good are they? The small domestic one seem the range between £50-100 and would hold small items like the mower carb and injectors etc. What would be the best size to look for? any recommendations?

Thanks Jared. I'll have a look on Ebay. I've got a lot of smallish items to clean from time to time like carbs, injectors and motorbike parts and it would be very ueseful. It's always better to hear first hand on these things before jumping in. Thanks again.
