Fuel Problem
Spike555, thanks for the info on replacing the O2's. Once I get going again, I'm going to solve that problem. Secondly, why doesn't anyone think my problem could be the fuel pump?
I think I'm going to pull it this afternoon and bench test it, just because I've never pulled the hatch in the cargo area, and I'd like to take a look around anyway.

Sounds like a good idea.
You need to get it back to the dealer, should have called them right away so they won't fight you on this when it goes in.
Deal with the light, go look and see what they installed for wires, since Rover doesn't offer 8 mm wires you might want to see what in fact they did do.

Disco Mike,
I am taking it in to the dealer this morning. I called them yesterday and talked with the service department manager and they are going to do the repair for the cost of parts. I told them the O2's were throwing codes when the vehicle was off and they said pretty much what you said.
I know you know what LR dealers offer and don't, but I was pretty forward about wanting 8mm. I would like to think that they put the 8's on because they been really good about everything I've had them do before.

Mike & Spike, you get the cookie, I have now replaced the crank sensor and that was the problem.
Someone mentioned that it was a hard fix and suggest that I do a how to on it, I didn't see it as a hard fix, do you think a how-to is in order?

No, yes, maybe so.
It can be a bugger go get out and it is kinda tight to get to.
Some change it in under a hour others it has taken them 3+ hours.
So I guess it all just depends on your skill level.
FYI-the crank sensor on a DII is a common fail item, usually goes out around 70k.
On a DI they almost never fail.
I have no idea why the huge difference in life on them between teh 2 trucks as they have the exact same engine other than different brands.
Now do you see why I said to leave the fuel pump alone?
