Yes, I know. But I don't know how that applies to the EP241 pump, of if AEL system matters for the pump PN.

Which means you can buy the entire fuel pump assembly (like in the second picture) from Rovers North, their ProLine version for $105 , the rubber gasket is another 13 or so. That's what I did, and it is an exact drop-in unit. The AEL version is much more.
$450 for the AEL fuel pump, ask me how I know.

Default update me on fuel pump conclusion

How did the pump you ordered turn out for you? Having an issue and tryin to research a little before heading to mechanic...whatevers goin on is draining the battery. Been hearing a hissing noise cominf from fuel pump area I believe but AAA said nothing was draining battery that they could tell but it's dead agn w/ new battery purchased yesterday.

You can check for a stray drain with either an amp meter (function on many volt meters) or a tail light bulb or test light. Remove (+) battery wire, connect amp meter or light bulb between it and battery post. High reading, or glowing bulb indicates high drain. Unplug fuses or fuse links under hood and under dash to narrow it down. Some minor drain, like under 100 milliamps (1/10 amp) is to be expected, I think my 97 is around 25 milliamps. ECU and other modules' memory, clock time, alarm, etc.

As an exampkle, there is a leak detection pump that runs sometimes, but it is on fuse 2 under the hood, and is powered up with lots of other devices from the main relay, unlikely that it is hanging up after key turned off.

Fuel pump makes a hum, but not a hiss. When you turn key on, but don't crank, pump should run for a second or two to build up fuel pressure. ECU won't let it run long if the engine is not turning.
