RE: Fuel Tank Vent Line Leak
I had to replace the hose at the gas filler neck first and did not have time to do it so I spliced in a 1/2" copper pipe and
3/4" gas line.
It lasted about 3 mo's then I did the rest.
There is a small black plastic line that has a quick release and then there is a line holder that is red that needs to be pushed in as you pull the line out.
I did not loosen the top strap that holds the tank from the top, but I did run the fuel very low, I never knew that the little yellow light would come on.
I think I had about 1 1/2 gals left and that made the job much easier.
Doing at the shop that I manage with a lift was better that doing on my back on ramps.
It took about 1 1/2 hrs from start to finish.
Get 3/4" inch gas line (I had 3 feet)and new hose clamps.

RE: Fuel Tank Vent Line Leak
Zracin to lower the tank any you will have to unhook the
fuel pump,, the vent and filler hoses and then the
two straps not at all hard.
It would be just a easy to drop the tank all the way.
If you do and have a OEM tow hook watch how it drops
down as the tank will have to go in at the back first to make it easier.
