Post Full Dashboard Removal / Swap

I want to swap my entire dashboard. I'm basically swapping out my entire interior from the tan to black and this is the one piece I can't quite figure out where all the screws are. Plus I think there is glue in some places? I have looked but haven't seen any videos or instructions on how to do this. Can anyone help?

So far, I've removed all of the screws / bolts underneath and from the gauge cluster, but can't find the ones on top. Central dash with the AC and radio has already been removed.

The RAVE goes through the whole process of removing everything, all the way back to the bulkhead (try p.76-3-10)

Thanks. Should have checked there before asking. Looks like I forgot a couple bolts by the steering wheel column and the airbag. Hopefully that's it and I can pull the whole thing out. It did seem like more than that was stuck but it'll be a day or two before I can go back and check.

I’m planning on doing this soon myself. My donor truck has a much better dash than my truck. Let us know how the job turns out.

Fairly simple job following the RAVE instructions. Take your time and lots of pics. I did mine about two years ago. The only thing I broke was the wire to the ring that illuminates the ignition cylinder.

99-02 with tan seats had full tan interiors, including dash, carpets, and cargo area.

03-04’s with tan seats had black dash, carpets, and cargo areas, but tan glove box and the dash area under the steering wheel is also black.

The 99 d2 tan seats/interior are a little darker than the 03 tan seats/interior. This may bother some land rover owners, for jeep owners this would be non issue.

Im currently using a scrap 03 with 86,xxx miles to help bring a 99 with 226,xxx miles back to a good comfortable DD. After swapping the little lady's center console, shifter bezel, instrument cluster cover and glove box she pointed out the slight difference.

Now I'm swapping front seats and door panels apparently. Yay me.

You're a brave man to take on the dash swap. I considered it but after spending 2 evenings on her headlight swap I decided against it. The headlight swap isn't bad as I have the entire vehicle at my disposal. I ran into issues as her 99 was wrecked upon purchase and I didn't know how bad the drivers front corner was until I put an undamaged hood and fender on. I had plenty of massaging to do. If not for that it would have been a 3 or 4 hr job. I'm just glad I had a come along, plenty of chain and a ford excursion to tie the front end to in order to pull inner supports back out somewhat into place.

Dash swap is a pain but very doable. le. Just follow Rave instructions, it's very paint by number. Use the opportunity when it's out to make sure your windshield or cowl / side panel areas aren't leaking into the floors.

'00 Disco so I have the all tan interior. Life's been getting in the way and I haven't been back to get the full dash yet. I have almost everything else that I wanted. I'm removed the rear storage boxes entirely so didn't need those. The rear carpet from the donor vehicle was an ant infested swamp unfortunately - but that's going to be buried under some drawers so I'm not too worried. Would be happier if I had it though. The other carpets, dash pieces, panels, trim, etc. I've already installed in mine and it looks great! I'll get some pictures in the next couple days. I also bought some of the sound deadening material that I'm going to plaster everywhere so I have to remove everything again to do that. I'll also be able to get a proper clean done and clear up some rust spots I found.

I'll be back to update with pictures and hopefully the donor dash as well.
