Default Thermal Clicking and Ticking

Does anyone know why these trucks click and tick so much as they heat up and cool down? I'm not talking about engine tick. It's that random click and tick when it starts up cold, then when you park and it cools down. I know mine isn't the only one that does it because I've heard others do it to. As I sit here writing this, I can hear my Disco clicking as it cools down in the driveway. I've heard other vehicles do this, but not as much.

I wonder if it's the cats expanding and contracting, or the SAI piping?

@donniefitz2 I suspect the dissimilar metals to certain extent, but it is usually exhaust related in my experience

Yeah, most likely. I've just never heard a vehicle to it this much.

It’s the aluminum, much higher thermal expansion rate than steel
