I was thinking about the removing the injectors and having them serviced.
What is your opinion on the BD injector cleaners? ( I'm referring to the one that it's used when removing the fuel lines and running them in a mix with gas)
Lucky, didn't you have someone in the northeast doing them for you not long time ago?
I can't comment on any chemicals for cleaning the injectors because I had some help with mine, but do at least replace the 2-each of O-rings because they will definitely be in rough shape and very possibly already causing you problems with fault codes and leakage. It may take some doing removing the I/j from fuel rail but just pull straight out with your might, just the old Oring up there freezing them in place. Put a spot of grease on each new O-ring as it slips into its new home. Everything will go back into place much easier. Don't forget to hook your old fuel line back up to the rail way down at the back
good grief!
are you planning on driving that truck?
That looks great! I believe you when you said you went wild!
what did you use to clean the engine bay compartment?
A lot of engine cleaner before I went to town disassembling it and then when I got done, same thing.
Those are great ignition wires. Got same ones when i did my tune up. From rough idle and drive to new ride feel. Im waiting for some custom length to arrive. Im relocating my coil packs for my other disco. Got all my hardware specially made.

Installed last march.
got a great deal on them ( the main reason why I got them.. )
Geez.....relocating the coil packs...why I didn't think about that one!
Would love to see how you do it...take pics...
wow!
really?
If the law of logic apply to the rover world: if this is the result of collant circulation, shouldn't the rest of the places where coolant circulates thru be on the same condition?
Now i'm freaking out!
The throttle body heater plate is an area that some choose to bypass due to a high amount of leaking from this area, sometimes after multiple fixes. Your's looks bad because that's where the coolant has been exposed to air (and leaking) for quite some time.
When I bought my 04 it leaked there and that was one of my first fixes. Mine didn't look quite that bad but almost. I bought a new heater plate with gasket from A/B for about $30 and used some permatex gasket spray on both sides of the gasket and tightened it up to spec and 1 year and 30,000 miles later it's still holding fine. See the link below for the new part & gasket, you can source it plenty of places.
You can also search around and find multiple lines of thought on whether to bypass the heater plate or not. I chose to fix it and leave it and I've not had issues. Other's it has vexed to no end.
Also, if you haven't done it already I highly recommend a complete rebuild of your cooling system. Your 02 is 15 years old and new hoses and a new radiator (along with an OEM 180 thermostat) are warranted. This will help keep the engine you are spending so much time on tuning up running healthy and cool for another 5 - 10 years..

This is the test install. 3/16 aluminum and a bracket below (not seen) mounts directly on available engine mounting provisions. Directl mount on original coilpack bracket. Ill have everything completed by tuesday including custom lenght magnecore wires. I kow coil packs can stay in the back forever but this will make me less paranoid.
This is the location where I mounted the coil packs. I have SAI so i cant use the firewall. More pictures coming.
