Funky dash light issue
One of my friend's house flooded in the storm today and I helped him move his stuff out - in the process of this I drove through about 3 feet of water a few times & was submerged for about 30 minutes.
Now, when I turn the truck off the dash lights still stay on. I can press the brake & they turn off, but when I let up they turn back on again. Any ideas on what this might be? I disconnected the battery cable so the battery doesn't drain, but that's only temporary.
Also, should I check anything else on the Disco having driven it through that deep of water?
Fyi, the engine compartment is dry.
Thanks much!

the only reason I can see causing that issue is water causing some wire somewhere to make a connection that it isn't supposed to make. leave the battery off until the truck has time to completely dry then plug everything back in. If the problem persists then some electrical damage has been done and finding the problem is normally a pain.
You should also be able to narrow it down by unplugging fuses one at a time, first under the hood, then down stream under the dash. That will limit how much wiring you have to check. Also, unplug the hood alarm switch, so truck won't wake up and think it is under attack. Pix of fun with Debby storm?
Could be water in the trailer harness plug, (inside and below tail light on hinge side of rear cargo door, can puddle inside and not be seen) etc., or any of many other spots. Truck is gonna smell funky when mold starts to grow, you'll end up with all the carpets out to bake in the sun, etc. If they got wet.

You should really be concentrating on get the water that is in the pad and under the rug there are all kinds of nooks and cranies that water can hide in.
Shampooing the carpet is just going to get the surface, if possible you should either remove the carpet and let the floors dry a few days or put a dehumidified in it a couple of nights.

remove the seats/console, kick panels and rocker molding and they should lift out.
A couple of bolts and a lot of phillips screws, it will give you a chance to see if there is water sitting under your tranny ecu, most likely there is.
