Default Fuse 20 Drain/Draw

Hi all. Battery dead on the 2002.

Went through charging, load test, testing alternator for failure, etc. Narrowed down to a .78-80 draw with all systems closed, and a 3.2 draw with doors and lights open.

Traced it to a fusible link in the engine fuse box that when disconnected puts the draw to .02. That link directs to a few fuses in the box under the steering wheel. Further investigation shows that Fuse 20 is the main source of the draw. It controls the following:

Interior Lights
Clock/radio memory
Engine remobilisation>which I believe goes to the BCU
CD player if equipped

NOW.....I went ahead and disconnected first, the CD player. Draw still present. Next, the BCU, still there. I disconnected the clock and radio, and was still there.

All interior lights are going off, and the (several?) fuses for the interior lights don't affect the draw either. The glove box lamp is off as well.

SO, the questions that I have..

What is "Engine Remobilisation? Is it indeed lead to the BCU?
What is the clock/radio memory and how can I find the module to test.

Thank you in advance.

I ended up changing the key fob battery and low and behold the draw went from .8 to .1~.....

Not sure how that works, but there we go.

I've got a 0.3-0.4 mA draw from fuse 20 as well. Any tips?
I don't see how changing a key fob battery would lower this, but if someone provides a plausible reason I'd try it.

I know I know old thread

From what I found, replacing the key fob battery and then pressing the lock button a few moments to super lock the truck resets the door locks/door lock fob receiver circuit.

I think the truck was looking for the fob and trying to open/lock the truck.

Its cheap to try, so.. why not?

I did it in a Walmart/Maccas parking lot IIRC. Replaced because the fob battery wasn't reach far. Popped in the new battery and pressed lock to super lock, then unlock a few times and got home to start testing again after lunch. Lo and behold the bloody thing wasn't drawing.

Hopefully this can help someone in the future.
