Default Gas Mileage

I'm a newbie to this site. I just bought a, 04 Disco. It is very pimp. I'm going to use it priimarily for daily driving and wanted to see if there were any mods out there that would help increase the gas mileage.

I know intake and exhaust would help, I'm not sure on brands and such for the Disco. I'm used to sports cars.

Any thoughts?

Default RE: Gas Mileage

As it is an 04 model, then any modifications will affect the warranty on it..

What fuel type is it? Diesel or petrol(gas)

Is it a Disco Series 2 or a LR3 ?

It might be possible to get a remapped engine management system to give better performance and fuel economy. Other mods will be dependant on the fuel type.

Buy a Prius. You wont get anymore than 17mpg with amazing driving habits. Anyways, bad gas mileage gets you the best places on earth!

The mobile site has been a bit goofy lately. Apparently some people are saying the mobile site displays on their desktops..

2001 D2.

16 MPG in Southern CA - that is never exceeding 55 MPH.

17.4 MPG on Cross Country trip - never exceeding 60 MPH.

LOL

Here in Florida you drive 55 on the Interstate you're either shot, run over or both. That's why my D2 gets about 12 MPG on the Freeway.

At least in my world.
