I would have to say that maybe the pump calibration is off. That is the only thing that makes any kind of sense to me.

Ran the tank to E, expected bad milage as I have been using the A/C since the warm up.. Opened Fuel Door and curiously no "WHOOSH!!". Filled up did the math and Curiously it was 14.8 mpg!! That is the best Ive ever gotten when running the Tank all the way to 'E', usually its 11 or 12 if Im lucky!

I recently changed to Synthetics in the diff's and t-case, did the seafoam induction cleaning and ran a can through the fuel tank. Plugs and wires looked pretty good when I bought her in December. This last tank which was mainly city I averaged 14.6. I am usually the last vehicle to the next red light...

I am only averaging 10-11.5mpg with city driving. I seafoamed induction, and new wires have been ordered. Hope for some inprovement after new plugs and wires. That is the last thing on 60000mi service I have left, other than cooling system, and I dont think that the cooling system would have much affect on mpg's.

when you do your cooling system, throw a bottle of Purple Ice in the radiator. It will keep it cooler in the summer and keep your water pump lubed better....

My Rover gets its best MPG at around 60-65MPH. I usually net around 17-18 MPG.

Cheers,

Pete

I'm gettin 8-10 mpg on 89 octane. Everytime I throw some STP treatment in my tank, the Service Engine light comes on until my next tank...So I don't use it.
