I have one of the apparently few remaining Discos left with an OEM front bumper in relatively fantastic shape, but earlier this year noticed a few small cracks near stress points starting to form, mostly around the bottom portion. So today finally decided to take it off and reinforce with epoxy and fiberglass tape and overall just give that part of the Disco a once over and freshen up some rusty hardware. Really hoping to get another several years out of this before being forced into the steel bumper world.
I guess I was expecting to see more of a fiberglass look and didn't realize that so much of the fabric would show. Then I saw your "vent to nowhere" post and realized that IS the finished look. Smart move.

Ah yeah. It's been on the todo list forever and I finally had a couple days free and decided to get it done. Did the entire grille too for good measure.
