Default Gear from 2000 to 2003 d2

Hello, i recently moved the gear from my 2000 disco to a 2003 disco that has traction control. I got the difflock to work, will difflock and traction work normal together?

All Disco 2's have traction control. 2003 Disco does not have a locking central differential unless you change the transfer case, which I'm guessing is what you did.
Ideally you will want to change the SLABS unit to the 2004 model which will understand both the traction control and the CDL working together, but it's okay to stay with the SLABS you have and just be sure that you shift out of diff lock before you shut off the truck. There are tons of write-ups on this.

Yes your right, i moved the whole transfer case from my 2000 disco to 2003. I probably wont be able to find the slabs in my country as parts are limited. I do appreciate the info you have provided. Lastly, the gear handle doesnt go left as much as i would like it too, can i just cut in the metal plate to allow it to move left more?

You should be able to stay with the SLABS you have. I believe the only major issue is that if you start the vehicle with the CDL locked, there will be a traction control error.
Why can't you simply move the cover plate from the 2000 to the 2003?

In that case, it should be fine to enlarge the hole so that the lever moves more.

To do what?
If you don't have a locking transfer case, moving the cover plate won't achieve anything.
