Gear indicator bulb #???
Great site!
Just bought my son a 96 Discovery as a second vehicle, and this site has been a wealth of info.
The bulbs that illuminate the gear indicator (is an automatic) are burned out.
I know they are 12 watt bulbs, but does anyone have the bulb # handy?
Like to pick them up w/o resorting to the stealership, or taking one out and playing match game 2006
Thanks in advance!

if you live near a wal-mart or other auto store, they usually have those electronic kiosks (near the batteries) that you can just plug in the land rover 199(6) discovery, then scroll through the compatible light bulbs until you get to one on the shelf that matches the screen for....its easy. if not , then just take the bulb to an auto parts store, they will have on that works. very easy to fix, dont spend more than a few dollars for it tho! have fun with the disco!
oh yeah, just take them both out, if they are burned out anyway, no danger is just plucking them out. what you have to do is look at the picture i uploaded.....just use a screw driver to pry off the black surround, its a matter of about 15 seconds literally....dont be afraid to work on the truck, it helps you bond with it, and bein a 96 i guarantee you will be doing your fair share of working on it, my 97 is keeping me on my toes! dont take it to the dealership, its not worth it, and to just take the bulb out, and drive around without them for a bit, till you get to a store, is no big deal--its not a special bulb either....have fun!

Thanks!
I'll pick up some #194's
The Rover is 700 miles from me (I work out of state and fly home on weekends), and I wanted to have the bulbs on hand for my limited weekend time.
WallyWorld didn't have that application on their screen, and AutoZone didn't show it either.
We have no hesitation to dive into repairs ourselves.......we also have a 1970 Kaiser M35 deuce and a half 6x6 w/ multifuel engine....you HAVE to be mechanically inclined to own one of those
