Gearbox
Greetings
ive a discovery 2, year 2000, has just come from the garage and when I drive the revs do no not stay stable, ie, when traveling along the revs go between 2000 and 2000, returned to the garage and he said it was normal for a automatic, I’ve never had that before. I’m thinking it’s either the couch, toque converter or gearbox or all three. After driving on the freeway for a little while the gearbox takes a long time to react to the throttle being pressed down, hopefully someone can give me some ideas.
thanks in advance

they refilled the gearbox, and changed some gaskets that were leaking plus the cable delivering the spark, on a Petrol is plug leads but on the diesel I don’t know the name,
If you didn't have it done at a Land Rover place, they may not have filled the transmission correctly. Unusually, it needs to be filled while the engine is running otherwise the fluid level is too low and can behave strangely.
was done at a Land Rover specialist, I would never take my car to a normal garage here in Europe as they don’t have a clue what they are doing and only want to work on small cars , plug it into a computer and write out a bill , 🙁
