Default GEMS system

1996 D1 100,000 miles.

How do I know if I have a GEMS system on my D1? I am getting new plug wires and it asks to specify GEMS or not. Can't find a Magnacor dealer in Alaska and shipping is outrageaous so I am going with the Kinsborne wires. Suggestions?

GEMS is used until 1999.5 model year, then when the DII was intoduced they went with BOSCH.
