That's the old style switch, the one that is prone to failure and leaving the truck stuck in Park.

From what I see, that is the old number and supercedes to the one I linked.

Another update. My theory was correct, the flex disc from a 96-98 BMW 328i with the manual zf trans is identical to the lr one. Sorry to keep bouncing around from brake switches to flex discs

Look at the photo of the one you carry then look at the photo of this one. Brake Light Switch & Wiring Assembly Kit (Genuine Part # XKB500120 ) - Land Rover switches from Atlantic British

This is the new style.
