Genuine LR "safari" spare tire covers?
I got to pick one out when I bought my Freelander - dealer had a drawer full of 'em, but they also sold a bunch of stuff with rear spare tires back then.
Anyway - I picked the Elephant for the Hippo (trunk up, which I was told was a change, since trunk-up is good luck....my Freebie would eventually disprove that theory...)
The Disco came with a full Moose it inherited (truck is from the East coast, moose from Sherman Oaks, so it was definitely adopted along the way).
I dig the Rhino, though, so that is what I voted for...

My Disco has no spare tire cover at the moment. I'm going for either a European LR Cover that actually has the name of the Country on it, or a custom cover that has the LR oval and the British Union Jack and a slogan "Proudly made in Great Britain".
I am with Cam on this one, this cover looks like the natural cover a rover should have on it. Logo, heritage, and safari!
I used to have the the plain Land Rover oval badge, but then I got this:

Before anyone comments, this is pre-lift kit, so the tires look a little big! But now that I have a fullsized spare on the back, I don't have any cover on it right now. Still looking for LR tire covers for 32/33" tires.

I have the giraffe... I've never seen another one on the road.
My theory on the "75% still on the road" is that maybe the statistic is based on data collected when cars are crushed (i.e. VIN #s are recorded). I know there's a lot of parts yards that specialize in collecting LRs for parts (i.e. Motorcars LTD, etc.). Maybe most LRs end up in parts yards instead of crushers, and therefore they can still be considered "on the road."
Anyway, that's my guess!

I have the cheetah on mine, and have only ever seen one other on the road. The sales manager at the dealership where I bought mine said he almost jacked the cover off my truck to add to his collection because cheetah's were pretty rare. Mine does not have a dealership name on it, just the LR logo and the cheetah.
As far as being anti-theft, the higher quality factory covers require the tire to be un-mounted from the back door to remove the tire cover.
