That nipple looks aluminum; take it to a welder and have him or her change it to give it a 75º bend to the south :-)

With the brackets I designed for the GM power steering pump install, the pump is moved to the complete other side of the bracket (right under the A/C, sort of next to the airbox). The low pressure hose to the reservoir is only a few inches. I actually cut the hose a tad too short first try (below).

Why? A Chinese pump off ebay is like 100 bucks and they work better than the LR ones.

I have not had good "luck" with chinese **** parts. That said, LR factory NOS parts are ridiculously overpriced. Those GM parts are a bargain by comparison.. though I highly prefer the electric conversion :-)
