Default gonna paint my headliner today

Hey guys, today is the day. I've had enough of this sagging headliner so its time to paint it. I have hilltoppers write up ready to follow (thank you hilltopper) so I'm calling out to see if there are any other helpful tricks of getting this done easier. The one thing I'm gonna do different is to carefully power wash the headliner with the general low power tip, (thanks Aaron) if you have any suggestions please let me know.
Thanks all

If you do textured I'd recommend scotch bright pads to even out the texture and make everything the same consistency.

I gotta say though, I've actually grown tired of my painted headboard and I've pulled it down and I'm about to do this : Infamous sagging headliner story with great results! - Land Rover Forums : Land Rover and Range Rover Forum

That giraffe print is **** in a disco. I'm not sure it would look good in a silver one. How did the spray paint turn out?

I just did this a few weeks ago and its pretty easy, but the area near the rear sunroof can get weak and bend or even break, requiring you to put some extra fiberglass to reinforce that area. I think if you have someone to help you while you are taking it out, it would help out a lot, but besides that it is all a one man job.

I got it out and didn't have much trouble, got it painted and ready to go back in, I'm lettin her sit over night and gonna hit it with another coat of paint tomorrow. I used truck bed coating which is gritty. It Matches the texture of the dash nicely
I did however end up braking the sun visor tabs, gonna have to visit the stealer on Monday.

Zebra print is definitely ****! I dig it!!

I just finished the giraffe print on mine, going to put it in later today.

I gotta say doing your own headliner is easy but the grooves on the discovery are a pain in the ***. Nearly threw it in the dumpster a few times.

Also those sunvisor clips are impossible to get out without breaking ... you can buy new ones here : Sun Visor Retainer (Genuine Part # EGP100340LUM) - Land Rover bolts\clamps\brackets\washers from Atlantic British

Also my used to be textured with bed liner spray, i took scotch bright to it so it would be a bit smoother and just applied the material

Got it back in, a little mad that I ruined a part of it where the driver side sun visor connects but I think I can work around it to fix it. Other than that I'm happy with it.

Got any pics of your painted headboard??

That looks nice, I'm sure you re work that spot with a little adhesive. Did you get it back in by yourself. I don't have any that can help me get it back in so I'm. A little concerned I may mess something up. For some reason I can't up load pics from my phone onto the forum.
