I replaced all my lights with leds, it was pretty cheap on eBay to do, I think the most expensive was the tail lights, but man they are bright lol, the dome lights you can see a mile away, even with privacy glass lol. Name: 20130414_203601_zps455a6732.jpg

My lights tie in to the dome lights so they go on and dim at the same time as well as being controlled by the same switch. The reason i went with the strips is i had a quite a bit left over from another project where i made the lights bump/dance to the beat of my subwoofers.

That's awesome, how do tie them into the wire harness? Do you just splice the wires that plug into the domes?

If you wanna change your dome lights to leds they are 39mm. I went through several different sizes before I found the right ones. For some reason they are sized wrong.

That's exactly what i did, i just read out the positive and negative and tapped the wires. I'm probably going to get the dome bulbs replaced with the ones you got so the match the strips.

For you guys that fabric the headliner. Are you scrapping off the insulation and reapplying before adding the new fabric. Or just adding the fabric stright to the fiberglass??

just adding the fabric straight to the fiberglass, the padding is what fails.

JHill, do you remember what brand LED's you bought for your interior and your tail lights? I want to change mine to LED's also. Inside and out. I don't mean to hijack the thread... I also want to paint my headliner as it's been sagging for a while. My wife's headliner is also sagging. She would LOVE the giraffe print!!

I can't remember what specific brand they were but here are some links on eBay

http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.com/searchresults?cmd=SREF&pg=1&back=1&kw=39mm%20led&f bin=AuctionWithBIN|FixedPrice&sort=PricePlusShippi ngLowest

The dome lights are the same for the license plate which if the links I send don't work for some reason dome and license are 39mm led, reverse lights are 7506 led and side markers and daytime running are 168 led

Perfect timing, I just removed my headliner board and the material that was falling off. Not hard but the mosquitoes here in Houston are getting fierce and I lost a pint of blood just from them alone.

I am going to just go with a creme color that comes close to my plastic trim parts, black is too dark for me and with our summer heat would only increase the inside temperature. I don't have either sunroof so not a problem for refitting.

The project also gives me a chance to rerun some after market wiring. I'd like to figure out a good way to mount a rack in the back area for my shotguns when I go out to the marsh during hunting season.
