Sounds like a great deal. Hell, l've paid four times that for a pedal bike...lol.
Bought my 01 with known issue, bad trans/y-pipe/front driveshaft for 5 bills...replaced all of those items and changed all fluids/filters (another, 8 bills)...and I've been driving it daily for just about two years now, little over 20K, with only one failed part...right front hub. I've created a couple failed parts, by drowning it in Ohio while wheeling...but that was my fault. I've put some money into it, modifications and such..but that was my doings. Maybe a little over a grand, total (it's much less if my wife is reading this); winch, M/T tires, lift/shocks, rack/lights, etc. In repair costs, the front hub was $140...so l'm nowhere near the 3K a year as suggested. So, if you divide two years into that...l'm at about $70.00 a year so far. Besides oil changes and normal wear items you would have on any vehicle.
