Good News for Disco Owners -Cheaper Fuel!
#11
I do not even think about MPG anymore. If your going to own a vehicle with low scores for fuel efficiency than you might as well accept the reality: in an age where the newest vehicles can get over 40 MPG you are opting to drive a vehicle that gets around 15 MPG....
On another note I used to drive between 70-80 mph whenever I travel the highway which happens to be 5 days a week for work. Recently signed up for the safe driver discount through State Farm, its just like the snapshot device Progressive uses. This device is linked with Onstar and some other companies and it monitors your speed, braking, impact damage, how many miles you drive and your location. Long story short I now drive 60-65 mph on the highway and Im alot more careful now. Consequently Ive noticed an improvement in my vehicles mph, a savings of about $10-15 dollars a week! For someone who uses a D2 as his daily driver, thats a big deal and Im very happy to report! But ultimately i dont care two ****s about MPG so long as Im not getting noticeably less than what the vehicle was intended to get. I enjoy the vehicle to much to think about gas. At the moment its roughly $4+ per gallon and I always use Shell premium. Ive never found a clean green vehicle with great MPG scores that I liked so I will Rovah on!
Just my thoughts.
