Default Good by and Thanks!

Well fellas, I've crossed back over the pond and returned to the motherland.
I traded the Discovery for a Touareg.
Reasons were numerous but mainly to get back into a vehicle that the wife liked (as it's her daily driver). The T-rig gets better mpgs, has the creature comforts we were used to, had lower mileage, is was also cheaper on insurance.
I've appreciated all the help, information, and knowledge you've supplied and will be pointing the new owner here for info.
Best wishes to you all.

Btw, I attempted to write this a couple times now but keep getting sidetracked in reading the recent threads that keep popping up!

Until next time!

Good luck with the Touareg! Friend of mine had a TDI and loved it.

May I be the first on here to wish you all the best for your future ImQuattro. When you say you've crossed back over the pond may I assume that's to europe or the UK?

I think your choice of a Touareg is good and I've been eyeing them myself recently as an alternative particularly the diesels.

Wishing you all the best

CJ

PS say hello to David Cameron if you're going to the UK. I'm afraid I'm not voting for him this time around I think we need a stronger influence.

Thanks for the kind words.
"Crossed the pond and returned to the motherland" meant I left the British vehicular world and went back to the German engineering I had left.

Best wishes!

Best of luck. I hope German engineering works out better for you than Walldorf's SAP is working out for me!

Ahh, still best wishes ImQuattro. By the by ImQuattro, Germany is the 'fatherland' (Vaterland) in strict terminology.

All the best

good point. does "the motherland" make an automobile, anymore? or does Vlad only allow topless horseback riding.

Good luck with German engineering. I've owned VW, BMW, & Mercedes and never had any luck with them. Always breaking down. Personally, I prefer Land Rover, Volvo, & Renault (although Renault is no longer in this country, I really liked the 2 I had)
