What is a good price for a used transmission for a 1999 Disco 2?

No more than $300-$500 depending on the mileage.
So X2 on $400

Local LQK wants $150 but you pull. Short warranty on part cost only as most offer. Used trans inexpensive but install or your time/effort adds to cost and not usually covered.

I just sold the last ZF 4HP22 I had in stock. Mileage was a bit over 100K. The truck drove well and the transmission performed as it should. Fluid was a bright red color. My Hawkeye showed no codes for the transmission.

Cost, including shipping and a 60 day warranty was $429.99.

So, as a reseller, I'd agree with the prices most people have mentioned here.
