According to the Federal website, those only come in 8ply in that size. Are they maybe discontinued?

LOL maybe their 8 ply then.... I usually run Cooper Discovery STT's but I thought I'd try these out. I will be getting STT's for my other set prolly in a 285 or the next size up.

BTW I didnt get to the suspension this weekend... I started tinkering with my stereo and before ya know it I got a new Alpine IDA-X303 head, kicker 6 1/2" KS600 speakers all the way around, and a Kenwood 700watt 4 chan. amp... so now I have a lot of work ahead of me with the install of all that. I have the factory H/K system if anyone's looking for bits and pieces cheap.

On a side note I have gotten threw Mikes to-do service list... $$$$$ holy SH**!!

And I installed a genuine USMC issued Medical kit on my back door and a small fire extinguisher.
Also painted my wheel wells with rustolium bed liner spray.. thinking of a few other faded plastic parts might get hit up before I set the rattle cans down IDK.

I f'n love this TRUCK!!!!!!

I have a set of the old tread style Discoverer STT's in 7.50x16 and really like them.
They are getting close to end-of-life and will probably get a set of the new ones, even though they don't come in 7.50x16 anymore.

That's wise. Don't put on 32s until you have a lift, no matter what anyone tells you.

No they dont rub hardly at all man, I was surprised too.

Mike I got a free set of Old Man springs... see my other post for details.

And ya I might do a comprehensive write up on the lift... idk depends on how much we drink tomorrow weather or not I take all the necessary pictures.
Bilstein makes a good shock for a non-lifted Disco but they are in fact shorter then the factory shock, so depending on the lift, you may have some over extension issues.

Well I did some homework and as Mike said the Bilsteins are in fact shorter.... grrrrr. So I went with Koni's. Got the back all finished up and prep'd the front for tomorrow. Got a little over 2" in the rear, waiting to see what the front comes out to. Stock set-up in the front was 33 1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare.

Ended up with 2 1/2" up front... my factory springs must have been wasted.
The quality has changed thats for sure, it drives different lets say.

Now time for the exhaust.
